Crispy Sweet Potato Fries

fast payday loans for every one

Over the past 3 years I’ve tried about 739 recipes for sweet potato fries. Okay, maybe more like 10 or 12 recipes – but after so many fails, it just seems like hundreds upon hundreds.

Since I found my long lost love a.k.a Pinterest, I’ve pinned even more recipes for this delectable treat.

I had the most amazing sweet potato fries a couple years ago at a restaurant in Downtown Denver. Time stopped and the sun stood still when I took my very first bite.

Every love song I’ve ever known went on shuffle inside my head as I polished off the entire plate of them.

They were that good and I’ve tried ever since to find a recipe like it.

Fail after fail after fail left me and my family lacking the excitement for these healthy fries and you could see the disappointment every time I’d put a bowl of them on the dinner table. Forcing them to eat another experimental batch of soggy fries.

Bleh.

So a couple weeks ago I found a recipe on Pinterest that caught my attention  and so I braved the waters of sweet potato fries.

It worked. It really worked.

When I was finished I had a baking sheet full of crispy, wonderful tasting fries that had me begging for more.

No more soggy, limp fries in this house.

Now, I can see how you could possibly get the soggy result, but if you soak them long enough and don’t over crowd on the baking sheet, then I think’s there’s no way you could fail.

If you’re brave and have the time to plan for some soaking time, you should really test this recipe out over at The Art of Doing Stuff!

Serve these along side a hamburger wrapped in lettuce, topped with cheese, tomatoes and avocados! It wouldn’t hurt to have a little bowl of veggies grilled in butter and topped with parmesan cheese to go along with it!
